Recommended Supplies for the Training

Recommended Supplies for the Training

To help you stay organized and get the most out of your learning experience, we recommend bringing the following supplies to training sessions.

Binder or Notebook
A large binder is highly recommended. Our lectures and discussions often connect multiple topics, and a binder allows you to organize notes, handouts, and assignments in a way that works best for you.

Pens and Writing Tools
Bring pens or your preferred writing tools for note-taking during lectures and discussions.

Markers or Colored Pencils
Color can be very helpful when studying anatomy, mapping muscle groups, or organizing different concepts.

Note Cards or Small Paper for Review
Flashcards or small pieces of paper can be helpful for studying anatomy, Sanskrit terms, and key concepts.

Reusable Coffee Mug and Water Bottle
We recommend bringing a reusable mug and water container to stay hydrated and reduce waste during training weekends.

Optional but Helpful

To help you stay comfortable and fully present during training weekends, you may also want to bring a few additional items.

Dress in Layers
Temperatures can vary throughout the day, so wearing layers will help you stay comfortable during movement, lectures, and relaxation practices. You are also welcome to bring a change of clothes. Most days start out with more a movement based approach, but you might want to change out of yoga clothes into something more comfortable after lunch!

Blankets or Personal Comfort Items
Feel free to bring a blanket, shawl, or anything that helps you feel cozy during meditation, relaxation, or longer seated lectures.

Yoga Props (Optional)
While some props may be available, you may prefer bringing your own:

  • Yoga mat
  • Blocks
  • Strap
  • Bolster or cushion

Personal Snacks
Although meals and refreshments are provided, you may wish to bring any additional snacks that help support your energy throughout the day.

Curiosity and an Open Mind
Perhaps the most important thing to bring is a willingness to learn, explore, and grow. Yoga teacher training is both a learning experience and a personal journey.
